NC Disaster Case Management

The North Carolina Disaster Case Management program is available to guide survivors affected by Helene in 39 counties and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians through the recovery process by helping them address unmet needs and connect to resources.

Introduction

In the wake of Tropical Storm Helene, the North Carolina Disaster Case Management Program (NC-DCM) is available to guide survivors through the recovery process. After you complete the initial needs survey, a case manager will help you to make a recovery plan that fits your needs, help you find available resources, and work through challenges caused by the storm. Fill out the NC-DCM survey on the website or call 844-746-2326 to describe your needs. A case manager will contact you as soon as possible to start your recovery plan.

NC-DCM assists individuals with unmet needs due to Tropical Storm Helene and who either live in one of the 39 disaster-impacted counties or are members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. You can get help from the program even if you have not applied for FEMA assistance.

The Resource Library, hosted on the NC DCM website, is a collection of programs, services, and support resources available across the impacted area, gathered from non-profits, disaster assistance partners, Long-Term Recovery Groups, and other relief organizations. It is designed to help disaster survivors easily access the support they need. Partnering organizations can also fill out a form to add a resource they do not see listed for their community.
